An ex-regular night
The music was so pleasant, so romantic. The light that he radiated was as thin as mist; however, it was bright enough to fill the whole room.
She smiled. He was in front of her, again.
She liked looking at him, without saying even a word. Just the sight of him made her calm as if she had found the harmony, which everyone was searching for during his life. He was not the perfect one and she knew it. However, she loved him so much that she accepted him the way he was: the way he looked, the way he smiled, the way he talked, the way he thought, in fact, she liked everything in him. She could not remember loving someone more than him and that scared her. From the moment she first spoke to him, she had realized he was somehow more special than all the others. She did not know the exact reason for her feelings and indeed that was what love was about (she really thought it).
The only thing she knew for sure was she needed him. She needed him hopelessly. Sometimes she needed to talk with someone; to say everything she was thinking about even if it was something meaningless, even if it was not that important and he was the one she wanted to share with. Why? Because she wanted to reveal her soul without fear and know it would be accepted with all its sometimes crazy, sometimes dull, sometimes too philosophical ideas.
He did not want to change her and she either. After trying to change not just one person but the whole world, she had found someone that did not need a change. After meeting him, she believed that being natural was the best thing one could face with. She believed him and trust was one of the main things she most adored. She knew when he was kidding and when he was serious. But she had never noticed him lying to her. Once he had told her, he would never lie to her and he had not done it.
She finally reached out her hand towards him. She wanted to touch him, to hug him, to feel him. She felt weak. She knew she could not resist him and she liked that feeling. During all her life, her only wish was to have someone she could not live without.
His perfume was still drifting in the air and his words were echoing in the room. In a moment, there was just darkness and silence. Her eyes filled with tears. Her body trembled. The song had finished and she had opened her eyes. The beautiful dream had gone away.
Yes. It was true. She could really not live without him. She really loved him. And that song; she would remember it forever, because it told her everything she wanted to know – there was someone she could love and she had finally found him.
Even with tears in her eyes she was happy. She smiled again. Maybe next time it would not be just a dream.
